Committee Meeting
March 7, 2008
The Membership Committee met during the 25th Annual Conference held in Destin,
Fla. Those present recognized the need for an active membership. Primary on the agenda was a discussion
of approaches to increase and maintain active membership. With much discussion, suggestions and ideas to attract membership
included providing incentives such as gift cards and free registration to attend the annual conference in 2009.
There was an agreement to contact all accredited programs and those in candidacy as another method of increasing membership.
The Committee will seek the assistance of Amanda Scott, the BPD Association Manager.
The Committee identified the following goals: (1) recruit new members, (2) recruit committee participation from each region
not represented, and (3) send informational item(s) periodically to the membership.
The Committee
would like to take this opportunity and appeal to all undergraduate educators to join NOW for 2008.
We ask current members to assist us in our efforts. BPD needs
