Membership Committee Meeting – October 27, 2006
The Membership
Committee met during the 24th Annual Conference held in Los Angeles, CA. Members of the committee discussed the importance of and highlighted the need to keep
in touch with the membership to ensure that our numbers would not decrease. Since
there is no annual conference in 2007, there was a consensus that all accredited programs and those in candidacy be contacted
to ensure that persons re-join in 2007. Additionally, the committee discussed
the achievement of the following goals: (1) increase membership, (2) recruit committee participation from each region not
represented, and (3) send informational item(s) periodically.
In closing, the
Committee would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that membership for 2007 is now open. All those who join on or before March 1, 2007, will
be entered in a drawing to attend the 25th conference and jubilee celebration in Destin,
Florida, March 5-9, 2008.
