Conquering the Mountain of Isms to Reach Equality
October 31 - November 4, 2001
Denver Marriott City Center

Denver Information

Denver may have been founded on tales of gold and silver mining fortunes, but today's treasures are its
art and history museums, theater, sports and its 17 mountain parks. Temperatures at this time of year
should be mild during the day and chilly in the evenings. Denver is a cultural combination of East and
West. Larimer Square is a downtown area that reproduces 1880 Denver. It has boutiques, art galleries,
craft shops and restaurants. Sakura Square is a center for Japanese culture.

The major shopping district in the city is the 16th Street Mall which is a 2 block walk from the hotel.
This "mall" is several miles long and is an outdoor mall that is serviced by free trolleys. There are art
galleries, gift shops, boutiques, restaurants, services, and specialty shops. The Shops at the Tabor
Center on the Mall at Lawrence Street showcases 70 shops and restaurants in a glass enclosed
gallery.

Airport Shuttle

Airport shuttle service is available for about $30. round trip. Shuttles run about every 20 minutes. Expect
30-45 minutes in travel time from airport to hotel.

Parking

Valet parking is available at the hotel for $15./day Monday - Thursday and $19./day Friday - Sunday,
with no additional charge for in and out. There are nearby parking garages available for $7.50/day with a
$5. in and out charge.

Hotel

The Marriott has fully equipped rooms with hair dryers, irons, and coffee makers. There is a complete
spa with massage service, indoor pool and exercise room. The hotel is
conveniently located within walking distance to the free trolley service for the downtown shopping and
historic areas. The hotel reservation information is attached.

See you in Denver!!!
