International Committee, Julia Guavera, Chair

A few members of the BPD International Committee met at the APM in Nashville Tenn. A major topic of discussion centered around the activity on the BPD International listserve. The listserve has provided a forum for substantial discussion regarding international practicum placements. The BPD International Committee will conduct a workshop at the BPD Pittsburgh conference, which will address development of international field practicums, student preparation, on site supervision, technology as a supervision tool as well as other issues. We are still looking for a home for our BPD International website and hope this issue is settled within the next month. The Committee will survey accredited BSW schools regarding international opportunities for BSW students. Please participate in the survey when it comes your way. If you would like to join the International committee listserve please contact Tim Rehner at tarehner@ocean.otr.usm.edu Thanks for all of your support.

More Committee Reports are next..
